Breakfast: Start your day with a hearty Moroccan breakfast. Enjoy freshly baked semi-flatbread served with a selection of jams, honey, butter, and processed cheese. We often include boiled or fried eggs for extra protein. Accompanying your meal is traditional sweet mint tea or freshly brewed coffee, ensuring you’re energized and ready for the day’s trek.

Lunch : lunch during the trek is a relaxed and refreshing break in a scenic spot along the trail. Our cook and muleteers will go ahead to prepare the meal while you trek at your pace. Expect a delicious spread of Moroccan mint tea and fresh bread, accompanied by a generous platter of finely chopped salad featuring tomatoes, onions, peppers, and cucumbers. Depending on the season, we may add ingredients like sweetcorn, olives, beans, or sardines. Preserved meats or eggs may also be included. To round off the meal, you’ll enjoy locally sourced, fresh seasonal fruits such as oranges or apples.

This midday pause provides not only nourishment but also an opportunity to soak in the stunning landscapes surrounding you.

Dinner: After a day of hiking, dinner is a rewarding highlight. Meals typically begin with a warm Moroccan soup like harira, served with fresh bread. The main course often features a traditional tagine, which could include chicken, lamb, or seasonal vegetables, cooked with flavorful Moroccan spices. These are served alongside couscous, rice, or pasta.

For dessert, you’ll be treated to fresh seasonal fruits such as oranges, cantaloupe, or watermelon. On colder nights, additional warm beverages like herbal teas may also be provided, ensuring you end your day comfortably and well-fed.

Snacks and Energy Boosts

While the meals are substantial and satisfying, we recommend bringing along some of your favorite high-energy snacks for the trek. Items like energy bars, gels, dried fruits, nuts, or even small chocolates can help keep your energy up between meals, especially during long hiking days.
