Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Imlil – Tizi Mzik Pass – Tasghimout Peak – Aremd Village

After breakfast, meet your driver and guide for a scenic transfer from Marrakech to Imlil (approx. 1.5 hours). The drive takes you through the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, passing small villages and terraced farmland. On arrival in Imlil (1,740 m), enjoy a welcome mint tea before starting your walk.

The walk begins gently through walnut groves and traditional mule paths, gradually ascending towards Tizi Mzik Pass (2,489 m). From the pass, enjoy sweeping views over the Azzaden Valley and surrounding peaks.

From here, those who wish can continue to the summit of Tasghimout Peak (2,600 m), offering outstanding panoramic views of the High Atlas range.

👉 This day can be fully adapted to suit families or less experienced walkers by shortening the route or avoiding the summit.

Enjoy a freshly prepared Berber lunch near Tizi Mzik or at a scenic viewpoint.

After lunch, descend through beautiful trails towards Aremd village, one of the largest and most picturesque villages in the region. From here, you will enjoy unforgettable views of Mount Toubkal, dominating the skyline.

Overnight

Check into a comfortable lodge or traditional Berber guesthouse, featuring private or shared rooms, hot showers, and a warm atmosphere.

Day 2: Tidli Forest – Tizi n’Tamatert – Talamrout Summit – Return to Imlil - Marrakech

After a hearty mountain breakfast, begin your second day of walking directly from the lodge.

The trail climbs gently through the beautiful Tidli forest, home to juniper and pine trees, offering shade and peaceful surroundings. Continue upwards to Tizi n’Tamatert Pass (2,289 m), a historic crossing point between the Imlil and Imnan valleys.

From the pass, ascend towards Talamrout Summit (2,700 m). This summit provides exceptional panoramic views over: Imlil Valley-Imnan Valley-Jbel Oukaïmeden and Surrounding High Atlas peaks.

After enjoying the views and Lunch and taking photos, descend via a different scenic path back towards Imlil then transfer back to Marrakech, arriving in the late afternoon.

Accommodation

The Accommodation will be in a simple berber Gite at Tizi oussem Village.
Camping is an option if prefered (june-Octo).
NB : If accommodation is required in the Atlas Mountains either before or after the trek, we can always book you at our Guesthouse Dar Adrar in Imlil or in Eco-loge in Ouirgane

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech city, many riads does not have access by car so the driver will park nearby and come to get you.
You will be droped off at the nearest point to your riad/hotel , our driver can call your riad to meet you if needed.

How do you book & pay?

Find the trek you are interested in then contact us via E-mail to discuss your trek and check availability. Once the details of your trek (duration, route and number of people) have been agreed, we will make a provisional booking, giving the dates and cost.
To confirm your booking we ask you to pay a 20% deposit. This can be in Euros, pounds sterling or US dollars online via bank account. The balance is paid in Morocco by cash – again in Euros, sterling or dollars – at the beginning of the trek.
NB: if you can’t carry cash, you can always pay again the balance online by bank few days before departure.
